Sabamba Alpaca Ranch and Bed & Breakfast

About Us

We began our ranch in 2006, by remodeling an 1890 Midwest farm house. Our alpacas were selected from reputable breeders who not only helped us through the growing process but have been wonderful role-models for us. We boarded our initial herd for the first year, which is a service that we also offer our customers.

In the fall of 2007, we were able to move in and bring our Alpacas home to Sabamba Alpaca Ranch; the name was created from the first letter of the names of our seven children. Four cria (baby alpaca) were born on the farm in 2008, seven in 2009, and seven due in 2010; bringing our herd to 24 head.

In Spring and Fall of each year, we hold an alpaca seminar on the ranch for anyone interested in starting an Alpaca farm. This informal gathering will provide you with the basic information needed to decide if raising alpacas is right for you. This business is both challenging and fun!

We would love to introduce you to these fun-tastic animals with their unique characteristics! We welcome everyone who is looking to take time away from their busy lives to come and experience our peaceful home with the friendly alpacas.
