CRESCENT MOON'S WINIFRED AKA "WINNIE"
ARI# - 841851
DOB - 10/30/02
Color - Medium Fawn
Her grandfather, Hemmingway, passed on superior genetics to his offspring. She has very dense fiber and great confirmation. Her health has always been excellent and she could not be a better mother. When you meet Winne, it's hard to say no to her big brown eyes!
I was amazed when watching her as she delivered our first "on the farm" cria, last summer. It was like watching a beautiful dance as she delivered Olivia who weighed in at 20lbs, stood in only 20 minutes and was nursing in less than 1 hour. She nurses so well that Olivia gained 3/4 of a pound per day. Wow!
We have bred her to El Nino's Galileo for a Spring 2010 baby. This will be a Hemmi/Accoyo combination, which will present a special cria.

OKLY
ARI# - 811802
DOB - 5/15/98
Color - White
Okly has been one of our herd foundation girls. We are very pleased with the two female offspring she has produced for us. Before coming to Sabamba Alpaca Ranch she was a breeding dam for Scott & Debbie Miller of Crescent Moon Ranch.
She is ten years old but still going strong. She continues to be a superb dam and her cria thrive. Born from two imports: Sire, 4 Peruvian Pachaucuti and Dam, WLA Chile Pepper, Okly is herself one of the first generations of American Alpacas.
She has a beautiful head with the longest eyelashes I've ever seen. Her personality is gentle, intelligent, and nurturing. We are very happy to have Okly as one of our first dams as she has made our lives so enjoyable by showing us how easy the birthing and breeding process can be.
We were given an opporunity to breed to Legacy and chose Okly as his mate, the result was our Tatiana, born August 2008. Okly is currently bred to our stud, El Nino's Galileo, for a late summer 2009 cria.

LOLO
ARI# - 1213539
DOB - 7/13/05
Color - Light Fawn
Sweet and gentle...that's Lolo! She is not the prettiest looking girl in our herd, but she has given
us some very nice offspring.
Her first son, Elias placed 2nd and 3rd in two difficult classes during shows in Spring 2008 and will be showing in Nationals in Summer 2009. The sire for Elias was an El Nino son (Crescent Moon's El Biento) and we are very pleased with him. We will be using and selling his stud services in 2009.
Her 2008 cria, Emmanuel, will also be making his debut in the show rings in Spring 2009.
Lolo is currently bred to Galileo. Galileo won "Get of Sire" and Lolo won "Produce of Dam" at Spring
Bling 2009 and their cria is due on Sept 9, 2009.
This bred female would be a superior choice for a foundation female.
Lolo's sire, 5 Peruvian Chaccu, was a direct import to the US and her grandfather on her mother's side was also a Peruvian Import, who has recently passed on, named Legacy. Legacy was the first alpaca valued at over a million dollars when a half share of him sold to Virginia Alpacas for $750,000.
Lolo has been a very caring mom to both of her cria. There is nothing that gives us more peace of mind than knowing that our babies will be healthy and well cared for by their dams. Emanual often has the best "got milk" mustache in the barn.

CRESCENT MOON'S KAROUSEL
ARI# - 1213478
DOB - 8/2/05
Color - Dark Brown
We purchased Karousel at the 2006 Parade of Champion auction. She was our very first alpaca purchase and we were thrilled to have her. She is an absolute beauty. Many who visit the farm love her rich deep color. She has incredible softness and luster to her fiber. She is currently bred to Crescent Moons' Kirwin for a Spring 2009 little one. His typye head and gorgeous pheno type, combined with her positive qualities should prove to be exciting.
Her sire is Kryptonite, a bay black son of Legacy. In 2005 and 2007Reserve Lt. Herdsire of the Year, 2002 Futuriy Herdsire of the Year and a Blue Ribbon Get of Sire 6 years in a row, Legacy has obviously proven his ability to pass on his genotype to his offspring. Her dam is Snickers a true black daughter of Coloroado. These lines are ones that have had a large impact on the improvement of alpacas in America, especially the west coast.
You really must get your hands on this girl to fully appreciate her. We can't wait for the snow to melt, the offspring of this alpaca, will be one of the seven expected in 2009.

ACCOYO ATHENA
ARI# - 31532211
DOB - 9/18/08
Color - White
Athena is our very first "homegrown girl" and we are quite please with the results. Her sire is El Nino's Galileo, our full Accoyo male who sheared a stunning 11 pounds of fiber for 2008. She is Galileo's first full Accoyo female. Stunning conformation and fiber!
Her dam, Thalia, was purchased at the Futurity Auction 20077 from LaFinca Farms in Vancouver, WA. LaFinca Farms specializes in raising full Accoyo alpacas. Her fleece is very fine and the combination of this fineness with Galileo's density, we expect, will produce a top notch fleece.
She is a bit young to tell more details of her fiber charecteristics. So far, we can tell that she is a very healthy, happy, alpaca, who like her brother Accoyo Andreas, loves to be the first to the grain bowl.
She was born early on a September morning, weighed in at 20lbs, with long legs. The rest of her body seems to be filling in nicely as we watch her grow quickly. Confirmationally, she is very well-balanced. We expect that Athena will impress the judges this Spring, bringing home some ribbons,
as we proudly show her along with our other
Spring '08 crias.

THALIA
ARI# - 835305
DOB - 8/28/01
Color - White
What a wonderful mom. Thalia has given us our first jr. herdsire Accoyo Andreas. He has stunning conformation and fiber with shimmering luster which is consistant from head to tail. He loves to eat and makes us smile daily. We are excited to start breeding with this full Accoyo
this year.
In 2008, Thalia once again showed us what she's capable of when she gave birth to El Nino Galileo’s first full accoyo female (Accoyo Athena). Once again she has perfect conformation and beautiful fleece (see her photo) Thalia’s currently rebred to Galileo for a fall 2009 cria. It would be very difficult to sell this girl but if you are looking to increase your herd with full Accoyo’s you may want to look at Thalia. Galileo has proven himself in the show ring with three “Get of Sire” awards this spring. We knew they were a winning combination the day Athena was born.
Thalia sire is 4Peruvian Pachacuti and her grandsire on her dam’s side is the famous PPPeruvian El Moustachio. She comes from the Don Julio Barreda’s B-line of full Accoyo’s who are known for their fineness, crimp and density.

OKLY'S JEWELIA
ARI# - 31066945
DOB - 6/27/07
Color - White
Jewelia is a true gem of an alpaca. Her fleece is bright, personality is stunningly gently, and her confirmation is perfectly proportioned. She is incredibly dense and soft from head to toes. As her owner, you would undoubtedly be proud to show her off.
When taking 2nd place out of a class of 11, a Spring Bling 2008, the judge commented on her sturdy body structure, which would serve her well as a breeding female. She will be bred to Avalon's Tri-Star, for her first cria to be born Spring 2010.
Her sire, El Biento, son of the well-known Caligula, has himself produced a long list of show winners, including her half-brother Elias who is also at the Sabamba RAnch. Her mother was a breeding female, for many years, for Crescent Moon Ranch.
Jewelia loves to be talked to, we hum to her often. We would be truly sad to see her leave the farm, but she would make a very good choice for any breeder.
