About the Ranch...
We began our ranch in 2006, by remodeling an
1890 Midwest farm house. Our alpacas were
selected from reputable breeders who not only
helped us through the growing process but
have been wonderful rolemodels for us.
Showing us how to care for our animals as well
as our customers.
In the fall of 2007, we were able to move in and bring all of our alpacas home. Four cria (baby alpaca) were born on the farm in 2008, with seven due in 2009 making our current head count at 18 alpacas.
You may wonder at the name of our ranch. While alpacas immigrated from South America...and the name sounds like it may have, too...we actually took the first letters of each of our seven children's name to create "Sabamba" making our children a part of this ranch right from the start.
In Spring and Fall of each year, we hold an alpaca seminar on the ranch for anyone interested in starting an Alpaca Farm. It will provide you with the basic information needed to decide if raising alpacas is right for you. This business is both challenging and fun! Our goal is to be able to give up our day jobs so we can just have fun raising our alpacas!
We would love to introduce you to these fun-tastic animals with their unique charecteristics! We welcome everyone who is looking to take time away from their busy lives to come and experience our peaceful home with the friendly alpacas.

We carry a number of alpaca products.
Alpaca fiber is considered to be hypoallergenic. Alpaca fiber does not contain lanolin which makes it easier and less expensive to process than wool. This makes it better for the environment and there is no chemical residue like on many wool garments.
